About

When I decided to become a trader in late 2020, I had no idea how challenging the journey would be. Early success in the stock market gave me the illusion that trading would be easy to master. I couldn’t have been more wrong.

Over the next few years, I faced countless setbacks. While I passed several evaluations with prop firms, I repeatedly fell short during the Performance Account (PA) phase and never received a single payout.

By 2022, the financial and emotional toll became overwhelming.

The market humbled me. Unsure if I’d ever return, I stepped away from trading entirely, taking on various jobs to rebuild my finances and regain stability.

But my passion for trading never left. In 2023, I reconnected with a fellow trader whose encouragement gave me the courage to try again.

Humbled and determined, I approached trading with a beginner’s mindset. A Japanese proverb says, “If you get on the wrong train, get off at the next station; the longer you stay, the more expensive the return trip will be.” I realized my previous failures often came from holding onto losing trades for too long, and I made it my mission to fix this flaw.

The road to profitability wasn’t easy. Breaking bad habits felt like three steps forward and two steps back. But I committed to staying disciplined and minimizing setbacks.

On December 16, 2024, I reached a significant milestone: my first payout from Leeloo Trading.

While I’m still working toward my ultimate “I made it” moment, this payout gave me the chance to reflect on my journey and the invaluable lessons I’ve learned.

I created Prop Confidential to share both my successes and struggles.
My hope is that my experiences will inspire others and contribute to fostering transparency and ethical practices in the proprietary trading industry.
